During the April 28–30, 2025 aid distribution in Probolinggo, Commission IV members—including Arief "Cak Dayat" Hidayat, Umil Sulistyoningsih, Edi Cahyono, Intan Cahya Kurniasari, and Gus Nawa—personally monitored the process to ensure aid reached intended recipients.
"We’re here to verify that this program truly benefits the most vulnerable—not just to improve statistics, but to uplift marginalized lives," said Hidayat during a field inspection in Dringu.
While praising the initiative, the commission highlighted key improvements needed:
- Tighter Data Validation: Regular updates to recipient databases to prevent exclusion errors.
- Stronger Field Monitoring: Prevent diversion or mismanagement of aid.
- Post-Distribution Evaluation: Measure long-term impact on recipients’ living conditions.
The oversight aligns with Regent Mohammad Haris and Vice Regent Fahmi AHZ’s vision for a more inclusive Probolinggo. Commission IV pledged continued scrutiny of poverty programs as a top legislative priority.
