During the unannounced visit, Mu’ti interacted with students and school officials to assess the program’s effectiveness.
"I deliberately came without prior notice to observe the execution of the President’s priority program. Alhamdulillah, based on discussions and direct observations with students and school staff, the MBG program is running well at SMAN 1 Lamongan," said Mu’ti.

Beyond Nutrition: Building Student Character
The Minister highlighted that the program not only improves students' health but also fosters positive character development, including spirituality, discipline, responsibility, leadership, and cleanliness.
"This proves that educational interventions go beyond academics—they also shape character," he added.

Elementary School Visits: Promoting the 7 Habits of Great Children
After the high school visit, Mu’ti proceeded to three elementary schools in Lamongan: SDN Kepatihan, SDN Jetis 3, and SDN Jetis 4. At SDN Kepatihan, he encouraged students to adopt positive habits.
"To become great children, you must practice the 7 Habits: waking up early, socializing, exercising, loving to learn, eating nutritious meals, and getting enough rest," he advised.
He also emphasized respecting teachers and parents while nurturing good relationships with peers.

Lamongan Government’s Support
In a separate event, Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi (known as Pak Yes) affirmed the district’s commitment to supporting the Ministry’s programs. He made the statement during a religious gathering and halalbihalal event organized by Muhammadiyah Lamongan at the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA).
"We are ready to implement the central government’s programs, including the 7 Habits of Great Children, which have already taken root in Lamongan," Pak Yes stated.
He added that these initiatives align with the district’s development goals to advance education and youth development.

Collaboration for Educational Progress
Mu’ti’s visit underscored the government’s commitment to holistic education improvement. With full support from local authorities, programs like MBG are expected to be replicated in other regions with equally positive outcomes.
"Central and regional synergy is key to the success of education programs," Mu’ti concluded.
