Internal Investigation Underway

"The accused is indeed one of our practitioners," stated Simanungkalit, revealing the hospital has assembled an investigative team. "We will enforce strict sanctions per applicable laws through a transparent process involving authorities."

The hospital has coordinated with police and pledged full cooperation. "Should evidence confirm misconduct, we will terminate the physician dishonorably and pursue disciplinary action through medical councils," she emphasized, adding: "Zero tolerance applies to all ethical violations."

Doctor Denies Wrongdoing

The accused physician maintains all examinations followed medical protocols. "He asserts it was standard procedure and denies any harassment," clarified medicolegal forensic specialist Dr. Galih Endradita M.

Investigative challenges include:

- Absence of CCTV footage (implemented for patient privacy)

- No formal complaints from the alleged victim post-treatment via verbal feedback or satisfaction surveys

Case Origins

The allegations surfaced on social media when QAR, a Bandung resident treated at Persada Hospital during a 2022 Malang vacation, shared her account. Supported by legal counsel, QAR plans to file a police report.

This developing case spotlights healthcare institutions' balancing act between practitioner accountability and patient privacy protections.
