The event was attended by the East Java Regional Leadership Council (DPD) Chairman of Gerindra, Dr. H. Anwar Sadad, Pasuruan Regent H. Rusdi Sutejo (who also serves as Pasuruan DPC Gerindra Chairman), along with sub-district (PAC) and village-level (Ranting) party officials.
Dr. Anwar Sadad, who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), stated that the gathering was part of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H celebrations to maintain harmony among Muslims.
"Let us continue fostering good relations to sustain lasting harmony, and may our worship be blessed. May we all be granted health to reunite in the coming Ramadan," he said at Bunderan Gempol Restaurant, Gempol District.
Sadad expressed pride in Gerindra cadres who have successfully secured regional leadership positions in East Java.
"Alhamdulillah, out of 33 candidate pairs we endorsed, 10 were original Gerindra cadres—including Pasuruan’s current regent. This means 10 Gerindra cadres won as regional heads in East Java during the 2024 simultaneous regional elections," he explained.
He emphasized that Gerindra’s regional leaders and legislators must spearhead President Prabowo Subianto’s vision in the next five years.
"Strategic programs like food self-sufficiency, Sekolah Rakyat for extreme-poor families, free nutritious meals, and the Koperasi Merah Putih must reach the people. These are concrete proofs of our commitment to the underprivileged," Sadad added.
Meanwhile, Pasuruan DPC Gerindra Chairman H. Rusdi Sutejo said the event also reflected the party’s dedication to fostering unity and solidarity in developing Pasuruan.
"May Pasuruan Regency grow more prosperous, just, and equitable," he concluded.
