In collaboration with the East Java Provincial Education Office for Bondowoso and Situbondo, the initiative targets high school students preparing for graduation.
Agung Trihandono, Head of Bondowoso Dispendukcapil, stated that his office has partnered with senior high schools (SMA/SMK) since 2024 to provide free KK updates for graduating students.
"Since 2024, we’ve had a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with all SMA/SMK schools under the Provincial Education Office to facilitate KK updates once students officially graduate," he said on Tuesday (22/4/2025).
"Later, when students collect their diplomas, they will receive their updated KK along with a job-seeking letter from the Manpower Office (*Disnaker*)," Agung added.
Beyond e-KTP registration, updating KK data has positively impacted Bondowoso’s high school completion rates, which remain relatively low.
Slamet Riyadi, Head of the East Java Education Office for Bondowoso and Situbondo, emphasized that all schools must proactively coordinate with Dispendukcapil to ensure this year’s graduates receive updated documents.
"Schools should submit data of 12th-grade students in advance so Dispendukcapil can process e-KTP registrations and KK updates before diplomas are issued," Slamet explained.
